- Pharm.D., MPH, BCACP, CDE

Dr. Cori Cooper is a board certified ambulatory care pharmacist, certified diabetes educator, and an Integrative Nutrition health coach. Dr. Cooper received both her B.S. in biology and Pharm.D. from Xavier University of Louisiana. She then completed a primary care residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi where she focused on chronic disease management, in particular diabetes.  Following her residency, she served on the faculty at a college of pharmacy lecturing on diabetes and the practice of pharmacy and diabetes education. In addition to her faculty role, Dr. Cooper was the clinical pharmacist at a multidisciplinary clinic managing patients with diabetes and obesity.  Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Dr. Cooper knew she had to learn how to impact health and change behavior beyond one patient at a time.  This led her to pursue her Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her education at Hopkins focused on health and behavior, specifically in the area of health disparities.  Her experiences at Hopkins, in patient care, academia, and community health have created a rich foundation and appreciation of health and wellness.  With that in mind, she began her new journey as a Integrative Nutrition Certified Health Coach. Dr. Cooper received her training as a Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.  She has studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts, like Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine.
